What kind of catering do you offer?We offer Caribbean-inspired catering in three service tiers: drop-off, styled grazing tables, and full-service catering with staff and rentals.

What areas do you serve?We cater events across NYC, Westchester, the Hudson Valley, and parts of NJ and CT. Travel fees may apply depending on distance.

Do you offer tastings?Yes! We offer private tastings for wedding clients and larger-scale events. Tastings are by appointment only.

Do you have a restaurant or physical location I can visit?Taste Buds Required is a catering company, not a restaurant. We operate out of a licensed commercial kitchen and offer delivery, setup, and full-service event catering. All tastings, consultations, and pickups are by appointment only.

Are you insured?Yes. Taste Buds Required carries full liability insurance and all necessary business documentation. We’re happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) upon request, along with our food handler certifications and licenses for any venue that requires them.

What’s your pricing structure?Pricing depends on service type and guest count: Drop-off catering starts at $54.99/guest (20 guest min) Styled grazing tables start at $100/guest ($6,000 min) Full-service starts at $150/guest ($6,000+ min)

Is there a minimum order?Yes. Our food & beverage minimums are: $1,500 for drop-off $6,000 for grazing or full-service These minimums help us maintain quality and consistency.

Can I customize the menu?Yes! All menus are curated to fit your event. We offer vegetarian, halal, and gluten-free accommodations. Certain customizations (like fusion menus or seafood) may carry an upcharge.

Do you provide alcohol or bar service?We offer bar staffing and mixers, but clients must provide the alcohol. We’ll help you coordinate quantities and setup.

Do you accommodate allergies?We do our best, but our kitchen handles common allergens. If you have a guest with a severe allergy, please contact us directly to discuss options.

How far in advance should I book?As early as possible! We recommend: 2 weeks for drop-off 4–6 weeks for grazing tables 6+ weeks for full-service weddings/events

What do you need from the venue?For drop-off: just a safe handoff space. For grazing or full-service: 4+ hours of setup time, access to the kitchen or prep area, and loading access for our team.

Can I provide my own rentals or servers?For drop-off orders, no problem. For styled or full-service events, we strongly recommend using our team or coordinating with us directly to ensure consistency.

We love your work! How do we handle our venue?That's a wonderful question! We have extensive experience working in a wide variety of venues across NYC and the Hudson Valley. To make the process as smooth as possible, we provide all clients with a comprehensive Caterer Information Packet to give to your venue coordinator. This packet includes our Certificate of Insurance, business license, food handler certificates, and everything else they might need. We handle all the professional communication to ensure a seamless and collaborative experience. Your only job is to be excited for your event!
